WHAT IS REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE?
In layman's terms, it is a system of farming principles that goes back to the old ways of doing things. It rehabilitates over-farmed, over-sprayed, over tilled EMPTY, DEAD land/soil.
This is important because SOIL has the capability to DRAW IN and USE CARBON from the air to produce healthier vegetation, and in turn those plants keep in water (reduce run-off) and keep nutrients in the soil, thus resulting in a healthier ecosystem overall!
It is a long 5 step (at least) process to bring land back from the dead, BUT it is POSSIBLE and totally WORTH IT. As well as helping the carbon problem, it reduces the temperatures in the areas that are now NOT "dead land" and farmer's get higher, healthier yields (more food), without having to use much or nearly ANY pesticides and less water, and in turn, we all, as consumer's get better, more nutrient-dense foods!
REDUCE CLIMATE CHANGE -- Each farm that adopts this methodology helps the temperature of the planet REDUCE.
INCREASE NUTRIENTS IN FOOD -- Each farm that adopts this, grows BETTER FOOD, a WIDER RANGE OF FOOD and reduces/stops the use of harmful pesticides/herbicides on food we all consume.
MAKE OUR FOOD SYSTEM BETTER -- Zero to Low-Tillage farms save an average of %50 on fuel costs & save over %70 of their time and effort! AND these farmer's are keeping the land alive!!
